Battle of the Bands!

One of the highlights and the most awaited event of the St. Paul’s Week Celebration is the Battle of the Bands, plus the Cheering Squad Competition. I was expecting a lot of seniors to join the Battle because this will be their last chance to outshine the lower year levels. I also thought that the seniors would seize the first place in the Pep squad competition… but the 4th yr. level ended up with the 4th place instead. Truthfully, when they announced it, my ears and my mind couldn’t believed what I heard. Nevertheless, those who joined the pep squad gave their best. Their routines were awesome, even though there were some minor flaws in their performance. I salute you, guys! Congratulations to the sophomores for being the champion! Enough of that, let’s talk about what happened during Battle of the Bands:

Our adviser, Ms. Mijares (the one standing) made these banners for my classmates. She’s such a supportive teacher. The band name made me laugh though. Seriously, Epic Fail? Anyway, I had to go for our basketball game that’s why I wasn’t able to support them.

I was betting for Aneroxia to win even though I wasn’t able to watch their performance.

This girl is definitely for the win! Birit kung birit! This is the representative of the sophomores.  I think, they won 2nd place!

See that guy right there? He has what it makes to be a singer! We were schoolmates back in elementary and I didn’t know that he can sing that well. He sang The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and his voice sounds like the Danny O’Donoghue, The Script’s vocalist. Everyone was truly surprised at what he did onstage. Plus, he asked a girl to be his Prom date while singing It Might Be You. Too sweet that the girl immediately said yes!
