#5 2011 Christmas Wish List: To get accepted in a good university

This should have been on top of my list.. but I completely forgot about this one. I really want to get into Ateneo, if I’m lucky enough.. ADMU is my dream school. Since UPCAT is once in a lifetime chance, I’m dreaming of passing even though I felt stupid taking it. Half of the questions made me think, “What the hell should I answer?!” I still don’t know what will happen to me when I enter college. I took USTET but I don’t like to study in UST.. I’m planning of taking the test for MAPUA next year but I’m having second thoughts.

Career Orientation and Evaluation made me excited for my college life.

Among all the universities that went in our school to enlighten us, Enderun, an international school, has the most innovative and ‘sossiest’ facilities. If given the chance, I would like to study there.. but their specialty course is Hotel and Restaurant Management. Let’s move on, since this will be just a dream because their tuition fee (160k per sem? seriously!) will make my family poorer.

Aside from Ateneo, I really want to study in University of Asia and the Pacific. My cousin is currently taking up Management there, if I’m not mistaken. They have similarities in their college application forms, scholarship aids and the price range of tuition fees.

Oh well, wish me luck! Now, I have a lot of these freebies that I could keep as souvenirs.

Are there any significant experiences you have had, or accomplishments you have realized, that have helped to define you as a person?

This is the question for the personal essay included in the Ateneo Application Form. It seems like a question that you will usually hear during pageants and beauty contests, isn’t it? Can you please give me an idea on how to start and what to write about?

Ateneo De Manila University

I have a tad problem regarding my Ateneo Form. As you can see, it was stained. I have a feeling that it was caused by the rain. The day I got my form, it rained. Ateneo is my second choice, next to UP. The picture is implying that I might not get accepted. :(

Filling out college application forms especially from your dream schools makes your hands shake. I don’t know what to write. What if I made mistakes? I’m losing hope, you know.

The envelope has stain, too. If you call that wet looking part a stain. Whatever.

My family couldn’t afford to send me to this school. My sister said that I should get a scholarship and it will be okay. But the first problem is, will I pass ACET?

A very few students from my school passed the ACET and studied in Ateneo. But I really want to study there. I’m desperate.
