Quality Time With Family

Last November 19, my sister (Ate Elda) wanted to treat us and pig out. We went to SM MOA right after my cousin’s check-up. She chose this restaurant and it was our first time to eat there. The feeling of reading the menu - you don’t know what the food tastes like, you see the price and you don’t understand the description - is quite fascinating for me. Usually, we let my sister order for us, haha. We took some pictures for my blog, of course.. here:

These were just some of the snapshots my brother took while we were strolling around the mall. I hope I didn’t make you drool because just by looking
at these, my stomach’s already screaming for food!

Ate Elda looked like she’s ready to chow down the whole pizza. While waiting, we opted to take some pictures.

The formal pose. Can you tell who’s the eldest and youngest? That’s Ate Elda in the left, I’m at the center and that’s Ate Elaine in the right. I’m the youngest yet I dressed down like I’m the eldest.. I was wearing a vintage floral button down polo paired with a high waist shorts. My brother joked that I look like a working girl, hehe. Anyway, you might be wondering where the hell was my brother at that moment. Why I didn’t pose a picture of him? That’s because.. He’s our official photographer!

The wacky pose. Because I’m having a breakout, my sisters said that I should cover up my face so that my pimples would not be seen in the picture. I love them so much even though they always make fun of my face, haha. (I can’t find the owl connector ring that I used here.)

Hmm, I was having second thoughts as to post this or not. Look at my mother rockin’ the wig my sister gave her! I’m considering of getting one for myself, the shorter version of this.. because I want to try it out. According to my mom, it’s very uncomfortable to wear.

It’s the kiddo who enjoyed the trip to MOA. James had a good time because of the kiddie rides located in the seaside and he managed to get a new toy. I am a fan of this kid! He knows basketball, badminton and bowling at such a young age! When I was 3 years old, I never knew about the said sports.

Krispy Kreme Love. I’m starting to love doughnuts! You have a lot of varieties to choose from. My brother took this picture.. because I told him to do so! I didn’t want to eat it, it felt really good just by looking at this photo. Yummy!

Racks Restaurant

As we were strolling around the mall, we stumbled upon a variety of fast food chains and exorbitant restaurants. We didn’t know what to have for lunch. As I laid my eyes on Racks, I had this sudden feeling that I have to try their house specialty - steak/ribs. There were a handful of customers inside because it’s not as established as the other restaurants.

The atmosphere was comfy because acoustic songs were playing. The menu makes you drool for you can see pictures of the food you’re about to order. I couldn’t decide between the Classic Pork Ribs and the Baby Ribs so I had my sister take the fall for me.

While waiting for our orders to arrive, camwhoring was necessary for my blog! Look at our tummies!

Ate Vi paid the bill! Anyhow, can you see the table behind ours? The guy wearing a green t-shirt is cute that’s why I transferred seats to have a good look at him! Sadly, you can’t see his face in this photo, just his arms.

I don’t know what this is called. I had the most food on my plate and probably the most expensive one.. I didn’t care a bit, I chowed down everything even the sweet country relish or what I personally call Atchara. The dalandan drink I got was much appreciated, too.

For the sauce, you can pick between the two. Their Extra Hot Sauce, as the name implies, is EXTRA HOT. It’s super spicy! Therefore, I recommend that you go after the Regular Sauce for you to enjoy your meal.

Behold the capacity of my stomach! My sister wanted to take home the leftovers for our cats. I told her that it was embarrassing! Anyway, don’t forget to eat the side dishes. They were all scrumptious! I know that it’s pretty expensive but the quality of the food and the service were quite satisfying. Click this for their menu.

As we finished, we noticed these two guys. We didn’t know what kind of relationship they have. My sister said that they looked like brothers. In my notion, they seemed to be having a brother-father lunch. While Ate Vi said that they could just be friends. We were amazed because just like us, they were taking pictures of their meal. On the other hand, I can say that they’re rich since they were using Iphone4 and iTouch with camera. And their meal was a family platter! Huge appetite you got there!

As the summer progresses, I’m getting fatter each day. I can’t believe that I have the same body build with my sister. I want to burn those fats! So far, this was my Easter Sunday 2011 experience.

Ma Mon Luk Experience.

This is the yellowish and old menu where you can see all the house specialties. It’s quite pricey, if you think about it, but I assure you that it’s mouth watering and worthy of spending your money.

My mom is confused on what to order. It’s our first time to eat in Ma Mon Luk. Besides, my sister offered that she’ll pay for it.

Delicious Mami.

While waiting, we took our time taking pictures. I want to take a picture of the place because of its sentimental and nostalgic ambiance to the old people still patronizing and eating in the place. You have to see the article clippings on the wall, the vintage telephone and the collection of various old keys.

Ma Mon Luk has only two branches - Quezon Avenue and Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo. It is famous for the mami, siopao and siomai.
