DIY Glittered Shoes

Materials:

 1. Old shoes (flats or heels - your choice)
 2. Glitters
 3. Paint brush
 4. Glue
 5. Newspaper
 6. Palette/Any container

Instructions:

 1. Look for an old pair of shoes. In my case, I decided to use my sister’s nude flats from Parisians because she doesn’t use it anymore. It’s an instant hand-me down.
 2. Choose your color preference (glitters). It can be gold, silver or black depending on what color do you like most. Since the only available colors in my art box are green, red and pink (perfect for Christmas season, haha!) I tried to combine them all together just to make it look fun.
 3. Mix the glue and the glitters in a palette. Make sure that the glue is even with the glitters, just the right amount would do. Then, put a newspaper inside the shoes to prevent the glitters from coming in and in the floor where you will work.
 4. Using a paintbrush, start painting the shoes carefully. If you’re not satisfied and you want to cover the whole thing, you can sprinkle glitters and make sure you spread it evenly.
 5. Let it dry. Look at the outcome. If there are still parts uncovered, retouch it (refer to #4). Lastly, put a second coat of glue to the fnal product so that the glitters won’t fall off and stick to the shoes for a long period of time. You don’t want to constantly retouch it, do you?

Here’s the final product:

I’ve seen glittered shoes in malls that cost around 500-1000. But if you’re creative enough, you can have one without spending too much money. All the materials I used were available in my art box. Plus, it’s easy as 1, 2 and 3! It sucks that I didn’t get the chance to post photos of how I really did it because my brother deleted the photos in the camera without asking me.

On our way home from Fontana, we stopped by Marquee Mall and strolled around to buy something. We went to different shops (PRP, M&S, Tomato, Jellybean, etc..) and as usual I couldn’t restrain myself to try out shoes in Payless. I like this shop because their shoes are arranged according to sizes; you won’t have a hard time asking for their saleslady to assist you. Also, you can easily fit the shoes without having to wait.. just grab them!
On the contrary, I couldn’t help notice how sleek and straight my hair is in this photo. And I look like a giant lady because of the pumps! Anyhow, I’m still contemplating what kind of hairstyle should I get after New Year. Help me?

A Few More Days Before Christmas!

The Christmas wish list I made last year were effectuated with the help of my family. I like jotting down wish list like these because who knows it might come true? I have to thank my ever so generous sister for buying a camera for my brother and giving me a cellphone for my birthday. The rest is a history!

#1 2011 Christmas Wish List: Shoes

Doc Martens is on top of my list. I’ve heard they recently opened up a store in Fort Strip Plaza, Fort Bonifacio. If I’m not mistaken, a pair costs around 6k (expensive, i know).. so I’ll just look for something similar. I already saw a look-alike and it’s made in the Philippines, I guess.. look here.

I love sneakers the same way I love heels! I’m saving up so that I can buy one. Vans or Keds? Hmm. Either way, I love them both! <3

This made my feet love doll shoes. I never really like to wear doll shoes before because it hurts my feet a lot, you can see red marks/blisters in my feet after wearing doll shoes for a long time. But I found this cutesy pair with a bow tie and studs… since then, I started to love doll shoes! It’s so comfortable, that’s why it’s my first over-worn pair of shoes.

Drooling over this pair of shoes. I want a pair of classic black pumps. I know I’ll be needing it soon for our graduation. Can someone give it? I’m size 9, hahaha. Just kidding! :)

I’d like to think that I’m tall. I’m not exactly sure but my height ranges from 5’3 to 5’5 yet I still love wearing heels. It feels different in many ways. There’s confidence emanating in me when I’m wearing heels. The evidence would be the black spots on my feet or what you call blisters that I accumulated from the heels I’ve worn several times. What I don’t understand is.. Why am I getting a lot of questions about heels? I do not even own a lot of shoes. But I promised myself that someday I will collect various kinds of heels.
Anyway, if you have inquiries and questions regarding anything. You can drop them here: Formspring.me
